Title Sponsor Michelob Makes Perfect Match for Go For Broke Educational Foundation’s Annual Evening of Aloha Dinner Torrance, CA - (Nov. 15, 2005) – Michelob was the title sponsor for the third year in a row for Go For Broke Educational Foundation’s Annual Evening of Aloha Gala Dinner on Saturday, November 12 at the Anaheim Hilton. The event included a sit-down dinner with Hawaiian regional cuisine, such as Red Wine Thyme Braised Frenched Short Rib of Beef with Michelob AmberBock, prepared by celebrity chefs Roy Yamaguchi and Russell Siu, musical entertainment by award-winning group Ho’okena and a silent auction. Rob Fukuzaki, sports anchor for KABC-TV was the Master of Ceremonies. “It was a real pleasure to have Michelob, our founding title sponsor, back for its third year,” said Christine Yamazaki, executive director and president, Go For Broke Educational Foundation. “With the help of Michelob, our Evening of Aloha dinner continues to be a great success each year.” With more than 1,000 guests, this was the largest Evening of Aloha dinner Go For Broke Educational Foundation event. Among the attendees were Councilwoman Jan Perry, Consul General Yoshio Nomoto and Board of Equalization Chair John Chiang. All ticket proceeds from Evening of Aloha went to the Educational Foundations programs focused on the preservation and education of the Nisei WWII veteran story. “Michelob proudly supports the Go For Broke Educational Foundation and their commitment to educating the public about the history and contributions of American soldiers of Japanese descent during World War II,” said Bryan Hammonds, Michelob product manager, Anheuser-Busch, Inc. “We were pleased to continue our support for this wonderful event for the third consecutive year, as well as celebrate celebrity Asian Chefs, such as Roy Yamaguchi and Russell Siu.” Michelob has been actively involved with Asian food events partnering with numerous organizations on projects and events that highlight Asian cuisine over the years. One such project, The Kitchen Gods – Celebrating Asian America’s Best Chefs, is a 13-month calendar that profiles Asian American chefs.
